Woman run over at pedestrian crossing in Funchal

A run-over incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon on Avenida Calouste Gulbenkian, in Funchal, causing one minor injury. The accident happened shortly after 3:30 PM near the traffic-light pedestrian crossing in front of the CTT post office.

The victim, female, suffered a foot injury, with suspicion of an ankle fracture. The woman was immobilised by the Funchal Firefighters and taken by ambulance to Dr. Nélio Mendonça Hospital.
