The Tax and Customs Authority is carrying out inspections on Portuguese beaches, having deployed 63 inspectors in the field to carry out tax controls. The operations have the support of 58 Maritime Police officers, who coordinate efforts with tax inspectors in the field.
During these inspections, problems related to the issuance of invoices in beach concessions were detected. The authorities are verifying compliance with tax obligations by the concessionaires, particularly regarding the issuance of mandatory fiscal documents.
This action is part of a broader inspection operation aimed at ensuring compliance with tax obligations in the beach concessions sector during the bathing season. The presence of Tax and Customs authorities on the beaches aims to reinforce tax compliance in this type of commercial establishment.
