Giulia Silva de Araújo, a 26-year-old History teacher, died after being seen twice on the same day at the Municipal Hospital Francisco Silva Telles, in Irajá, in the North Zone of Rio de Janeiro. According to a friend's account on social media, the young woman began feeling unwell in the classroom and presented symptoms consistent with a cardiac condition.

On the morning of that day, Giulia was taken to the municipal hospital, where she was diagnosed with anxiety and released after the appointment. Late in the morning, the teacher felt unwell again and returned to the same hospital, fainting during the appointment. Even so, she was diagnosed for the second time as anxiety, medicated and released again.

As she showed no improvement, late in the day Giulia was admitted to a health facility in Duque de Caxias with cardiorespiratory arrest and did not survive. The incident happened last Friday. The family seeks answers about the care the young woman received at the municipal hospital in Irajá.
