Mais Semanário2 September 2026 at 15:42

A GNR inspection action resulted in the constitution of two defendants, aged 23 and 55, after the detection of dozens of counterfeit articles at a commercial establishment in Vila do Conde. The material, which imitated reference brands in the market, was ready to be sold and was valued at approximately 40 thousand euros.

The operation took place in the municipality of Vila do Conde, where the military personnel of the Territorial Post identified products with falsified logos, displayed regularly to the public. The discovery led to the immediate intervention of the authorities, who seized the articles and formalized the process against the suspects.

The facts were sent to the Judicial Court of Vila do Conde. The National Republican Guard emphasizes that these actions intend to ensure compliance with industrial property rights and stop the commercialization of counterfeit articles, a practice that harms consumers, local commerce and legitimate brands.
