The Coimbra PSP announced the arrest of four people, two for drug trafficking, one for disobedience and one for driving under the influence with a blood alcohol level of 3.2 grams per liter.
The first arrest for trafficking occurred on Tuesday at 10:00 PM in Coimbra's Baixa. A 29-year-old man was arrested in Beco das Canivetas with 14 doses of cocaine. When the police team arrived at the scene, one of the individuals threw to the ground a small plastic bag containing a substance suspected to be cocaine, which was seized after confirmation.
The second arrest for trafficking took place on Wednesday morning at 1:22 AM on Rua Tenente Valadim. A 24-year-old man was approached during a patrol for crime prevention and combat, following suspicious behavior. During the search, 12 doses of cocaine were found inside a bag he was carrying across his body and in a hat he was wearing on his head.
The other two arrests were made on Tuesday in a road context, in Figueira da Foz. At 10:44 AM, at the Baden Powell roundabout in Buarcos, a 50-year-old man was arrested for driving with a blood alcohol level of 3.2 g/l. In the afternoon, at 4:18 PM, on Avenida Infante Dom Pedro, also in Buarcos, a 27-year-old man was arrested for disobedience while driving a vehicle that had been seized due to lack of insurance.
