The Paramos branch of the Family Health Unit Mar à Vista has been closed since August 27. The closure was due to the appearance of a cockroach in one of the nursing offices, which led the coordinator of that unit to order the building to be closed for disinfection.
The disinfection was carried out by a specialized company on September 1, covering the entire building, both inside and outside, including the sanitation collectors. The work has now been completed.
The Municipality of Espinho, through councilor Carla Coelho, immediately hired a company specializing in disinfection and pest control. The 12-hour period required for the chemical products used to take effect properly is now being awaited.
The health unit in the parish of Paramos is expected to reopen tomorrow, September 3, at 8:00 AM, resuming its usual routine.
