Four restaurants in Lisbon promoted a solidarity dinner to support the populations affected by the tragedy in Nepal and Tibet. The initiative aimed to raise funds to help the communities that suffered from the devastating effects of the disaster.
The solidarity action was devised by Nepalese chef Tanka Sapkota, a native of Nepal. The cook decided to mobilize the Lisbon gastronomic community for awareness and the raising of humanitarian support.
The event featured the participation of four dining establishments in the Portuguese capital. The restaurants offered meals whose profits were reverted in favor of the victims of the tragedy that hit both regions.
