George Clooney arrives in Venice to kick off the film festival

The Venice Film Festival kicked off its 83rd edition with the presence of George Clooney in the Italian city. The actor arrived in Venice to take part in the festivities of the film event.

On this occasion, Clooney received the honorary Golden Lion, a special recognition for his career in cinema. The award was presented during the festival's opening ceremony.

The film "Ink", directed by Danny Boyle, was also presented. It is competing for the festival's main prize. The film addresses the acquisition of the British tabloid "The Sun" by media mogul Rupert Murdoch.

Danny Boyle's production is in competition in the festival's main showcase, competing for the Golden Lion for Best Film among other works selected for this edition.
