Tax authorities conduct inspections at beaches and detect invoice problems at concessions

The Tax and Customs Authority carried out inspections at Portuguese beaches, deploying 63 inspectors on the ground to conduct tax controls at beach concessions. The inspectors acted in coordination with 58 Maritime Police officers, in a joint operation to combat tax evasion. The inspections focused mainly on invoice issuance at concessions, verifying whether establishments were complying with tax obligations. This summer operation aimed to ensure that beach operators complied with current tax legislation.
