The Argentine midfielder Enzo Fernández was announced as a new signing for Manchester City in a transfer worth 125 million pounds sterling, equivalent to approximately R$ 870.3 million. This was the third definitive transfer of his young career, which was enough for him to surpass Cristiano Ronaldo and enter the top-5 of players who moved the most money in football history.

With this deal, Enzo Fernández reached a total of 310.25 million euros in transfers throughout his career, taking the third place in the historical ranking. The Argentine climbed positions by leaving Chelsea and signing with Manchester City, consolidating himself among the most expensive players in the history of the sport.

Brazilian striker Neymar remains at the top of the ranking, having moved 400 million euros in three negotiations throughout his career. He went from Santos to Barcelona for 88 million euros in 2013, moved to PSG for 222 million euros in 2017, and later went to Al-Hilal for 90 million euros in 2023.

Belgian Romelu Lukaku appears in second position in the ranking with 375.92 million euros in ten transfers in his career. Completing the top-5 are Cristiano Ronaldo, with 247 million euros, and Swedish Alexander Isak, with 246.10 million euros, just behind the Portuguese.
