Vítor Nogueira Takes Interim Leadership of the European Commission Representation in Portugal

Vítor Nogueira took office on September 1 as interim head of the European Commission Representation in Portugal. This appointment comes at a time of transition in the leadership of the representation in Portuguese territory.

In addition to this new role, Vítor Nogueira simultaneously maintains his responsibilities as head of the Press and Digital Media Sector of the same representation. This accumulation of duties reflects the trust placed by the European institution in the work of the new official.

Vítor Nogueira has been a European Commission official since 2014, which gives him extensive experience in the internal workings of the institution. His integration into the Representation in Portugal occurred in February of this year, preparing him for the responsibilities he now assumes.

Before joining the Representation in Portugal, Vítor Nogueira worked at the Directorate-General for Employment, where he developed expertise in the area of European labor policies. This previous experience complements his profile for the interim leadership role.
