The JPP (Juntos Povo da Madeira) carried out a working visit to Jersey, a territory that is part of the Channel Islands, in the United Kingdom. The party considered the visit positive and fruitful.
During the trip, JPP representatives had the opportunity to closely understand the reality of the Madeiran community established in Jersey, which has a significant presence on the island and a historic connection to Madeira.
The contacts made allowed identifying the realities, concerns and ambitions of many Madeirans who built their lives far from the Autonomous Region of Madeira.
The party made a positive assessment of this visit, highlighting the importance of maintaining and strengthening the connection between the Madeiran diaspora and their homeland.
