The National Republican Guard carried out an inspection operation at a commercial establishment in Vila do Conde, where they detected articles bearing logos of renowned brands without legal authorization.
During the operation, the authorities seized counterfeit material worth 40 thousand euros.
The defendants involved in the case were referred to the Judicial Court of Vila do Conde to undergo judicial proceedings.
The action falls within the GNR's inspection powers in the fight against the trade of counterfeit articles, which violates the intellectual property rights of the brands.
