The Eugénio de Almeida Foundation has opened applications for the 2026/2027 Master's Degree Scholarship Program, aimed at graduates residing in 24 municipalities covered by the Archdiocese of Évora. Applications run from September 1 until October 30, 2026, and are intended to support students who wish to attend a master's program in Portugal or abroad.

The program covers municipalities in Central Alentejo, Alto Alentejo and the Alentejo Litoral, extending beyond the limits of the Évora district to include municipalities from the districts of Portalegre, Setúbal and Santarém. Among the eligible municipalities are Alandroal, Alcácer do Sal, Arraiolos, Avis, Benavente, Borba, Campo Maior, Coruche, Elvas, Estremoz, Évora, Fronteira, Monforte, Montemor-o-Novo, Mora, Mourão, Ponte de Sor, Portel, Redondo, Reguengos de Monsaraz, Sousel, Vendas Novas, Viana do Alentejo and Vila Viçosa.

Students with Portuguese nationality who hold a completed bachelor's degree with a grade point average of 15 or above and who have been admitted to a recognized master's program may apply. The evaluation of applications considers academic merit, the socioeconomic situation of the household and permanent residence in one of the covered municipalities. Candidates may not already hold a master's degree.

The scholarships correspond to a non-reimbursable financial grant, paid monthly during the master's program. The number of scholarships and their respective value are not predetermined, depending on the evaluation of applications and the Foundation's available resources. The decision will be communicated to candidates within a maximum of 60 days after the closing of applications on October 30.
