The GNR issued an alert about a new scam scheme that uses fake "bank letters" and QR Codes to steal money and personal data from citizens.
The scheme consists of sending fake letters and bank cards that were never requested by the victims, accompanied by QR Codes that redirect to cloned websites of banking institutions.
Through these fraudulent websites, the scammers manage to obtain personal and financial data from the victims, allowing the theft of money from their bank accounts.
The GNR is alerting the population to the dangers of this scam and explaining protection measures that citizens should adopt to avoid being victims of this scheme.
