The Public Prosecutor's Office filed an indictment and requested the application of preventive custody against a man suspected of sexually abusing his stepdaughter, a 10-year-old child, in the Águeda area.
The sexual crimes against the minor are believed to have been committed in the family home, the place where the child lived with the suspect.
The man was charged with the crime of sexual abuse of a minor, being subject to the coercive measure of preventive custody.
The case was investigated by the Judicial Police, who identified the suspect and gathered the evidentiary elements that supported the indictment.
