The cost of renting in Madeira increased 10.3% in August, setting a new all-time high. The average price to rent a house in Funchal reached 17.3 euros per square meter. This value represents significant growth compared to the same period last year. The trend of appreciation in Madeira's real estate market thus continues on an upward trajectory.

Portimão became the most expensive municipality in the region, with a 31.1% increase, followed by Silves with 7.4%. In contrast, Tavira, Faro, and Loulé recorded price decreases. Nationally, rents grew 4.9%, to a median of 18.1 euros per square meter, with Lisbon leading as the most expensive district (22.2 euros/m²). Faro was the district with the second-highest annual increase (22.8%), second only to Lisbon in rental prices.

Loulé supports another 65 families in housing rental
