The German government is holding Russia responsible for the attempted drone attack at Leipzig/Halle Airport. The findings of intelligence agencies clearly point to "Russian involvement," stated Germany's Foreign Minister, Johann Wadephul.
In response, Germany announced new sanctions against Russia, including the closure of the Russian consulate in Bonn and the termination of the lease agreement for the Russian House in central Berlin.
Wadephul declared that Germany is not at war with Russia, but is a "war target," making the country's position on the situation clear.
