Osceola County, Florida, opened registrations for the rental assistance program known as Tenant-Based Rental Assistance (TBRA), aimed at low-income residents. The initiative aims to help families and seniors maintain stable housing amid rising rental costs and basic expenses.
The program offers rental payment assistance for a period of up to 24 months for candidates who meet the eligibility criteria. Priority is given to seniors in vulnerable situations or facing the risk of losing their homes, as well as people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
Pre-registrations began on September 1, 2026, and remain open through September 6, at 11:59 PM. There is expected to be high demand for the program, especially among seniors living on fixed incomes who face difficulties keeping up with rising living costs in Florida.
