The alarms are starting to sound in Chaves

A Voz de Trás-os-Montes2 September 2026 at 10:23

Chaves continue without a win in the current championship, having been defeated by Felgueiras 2-1 in a match played in Oliveira de Azeméis. The goals were scored by Dudu Cruz and Mário Rivas for Felgueiras, while André Rodrigues pulled one back for the transmontanos.

The flavienses are, together with Torreense and Feirense, the only teams that have not yet managed to win in this edition of the competition. Out of twelve possible points, the transmontanos only earned one, which has left the fans increasingly worried.

History repeats itself, as the last time the transmontanos found themselves in this position in the II Liga, they ended up being relegated. This historical fact is now starting to sound the alarms in Chaves.

The flavienses started the match well, with Marquinhos having a great opportunity at two minutes, which was saved by a brilliant save from Mateus Pasinato. At six minutes, Costinha saw a goal disallowed for offside, and Roberto threatened with a shot wide at seventeen minutes, while Marquinhos hit the crossbar at twenty-four minutes.

The Portimão-Lagoa 2027 Mediterranean Beach Games were presented in Taranto, Italy, with the competition taking place between September 11 and 18, 2027, including 14 sports and with sustainability as one of its main flags. Rocha Beach will host the main stadium with capacity for 2,500 spectators and the Opening Ceremony, while Lagoa's Grande Beach will host other sports. The symbol of the Games is a lighthouse inspired by the Ferragudo Lighthouse, which will guide the countdown to the event. Between 800 and 900 athletes are expected, staying in 11 nearby hotels to avoid transport problems similar to those faced in Taranto.
