Commerzbank sells Forum Algarve for 130 million to Spanish group

The real estate management arm of Commerzbank sold Forum Algarve for 130 million euros to the Spanish Alfana Investment Management, one of the main retail asset managers on the Iberian Peninsula. The agreement was signed in Lisbon, according to the Spanish press.

Alfana Investment Management has one billion euros in retail sector assets in its portfolio. The deal was financed through an investment from Banco Santander private equity clients.

Forum Algarve has a total area of 27,400 square meters, 115 stores and more than 2,200 parking spaces. Last year, the shopping center recorded sales of 120 million euros and received more than 7.8 million visitors.

The legal advisory for the buyer was led by Garrigues, while KPMG provided financial advisory and CBRE and GMD provided technical consulting.
