The Forum Algarve shopping center, located in Faro, was sold for 130 million euros. The purchase was made by Spanish investors.
The seller was German bank Commerzbank, which owned the property until this transaction.
Commerzbank is currently in the process of being acquired by Italian bank UniCredit, which is believed to have accelerated the sale of non-essential assets, such as this shopping center.
Forum Algarve is one of the main shopping centers in the Algarve region, and the transaction represents one of the largest real estate deals in the sector in the country this year.
