Applications are open for the 2027 edition of the Five Stars Regions Award, an initiative that distinguishes the best that exists in each region of Portugal in terms of brands, products, services, and cultural and heritage icons. The award uses an independent and rigorous evaluation methodology, based on consumer opinion, and over several months the applications will be subjected to an evaluation process that will culminate in the awarding of the distinction.
In parallel, the regional icons that best represent the identity and richness of each territory will also be distinguished, in categories such as historical heritage, beaches, monuments, museums, gastronomy, festivals and pilgrimages, villages and natural landscapes, among others.
For the organization, the Award constitutes a tool for enhancing local economies that contributes to increasing the visibility of winning brands and promoting the territories in which they are located. As in previous editions, all participating brands will receive, regardless of the result obtained, a detailed report with the evaluation carried out, including comparative indicators that allow knowing the brand's positioning compared to the competition and identifying opportunities for improvement.
