Spanish player Dani Ceballos left Real Madrid and returned to Real Betis nine years after his departure. The midfielder, who had a contract with the Madrid club until 2027, put an end to his chapter at the club in the capital.
Ceballos, 27, thus returns to the club where he made his professional debut. His first spell at Betis ran from 2014 to 2017, before heading to Real Madrid, where he never managed to establish himself as an undisputed starter.
During his time at the Bernabéu, Ceballos accumulated 155 appearances and won three Champions Leagues, two Club World Cups, one Spanish Super Cup, one La Liga, and two European Super Cups, despite never being a regular fixture in the starting eleven.
With his return to Seville, the Spaniard strengthens Betis' midfield, the club where he had shown great potential before moving to the Spanish capital.
