Chelsea loans Essugo to Strasbourg

Chelsea has loaned young Portuguese footballer Dário Essugo to Strasbourg in a deal lasting one season. The 21-year-old player will represent the French club throughout the sporting season.

Dário Essugo is a Portugal U21 international, having already accumulated experience at the highest youth level. The defensive midfielder now joins Strasbourg to continue his professional development.

Strasbourg will be coached by Hugo Oliveira, also Portuguese, which creates a Portuguese connection between the player and the club. This connection may facilitate Essugo's adaptation to the new environment.
