The Portuguese man António Boaventura created the "Lisbon Finals" platform, which allows monitoring planes over Lisbon directly from terraces and windows of the city. The project, available since May, goes beyond simple visual observation of aircraft in flight.
The platform collects and publicly shares data on the number of arrivals and departures of aircraft. In addition, it provides information on image, noise, vibration and altitude of flights, all accessible at the click of a button.
The tool was developed to give residents and interested parties an open source of information about air traffic movement in the Portuguese capital, allowing them to monitor in real time various parameters related to the operations of the planes passing over the city.
