Iran: Energy shock "has not yet ended" and AI increases energy demand – IMF

The director of the International Monetary Fund warned that the energy shock resulting from the closure of the Strait of Hormuz has not yet ended. This strait is a crucial navigation route for worldwide oil transportation.

Iran is directly associated with this situation, having been the country responsible for the closure or threat of closure of this strategic sea route.

At the same time, the IMF warned that the development of artificial intelligence is significantly increasing energy demand globally.

This combination of factors represents a double challenge for global energy markets, combining supply problems related to Iran with the growing energy consumption driven by the expansion of AI.
