A 79-year-old man died following a vehicle crash in Vinhais. The accident involved only the vehicle in which the victim was traveling, as he was the sole occupant.

The alert for the accident was given at 6:38 PM. A total of 20 operatives supported by seven vehicles were dispatched to the scene, including Vinhais firefighters, the medical team from the INEM helicopter, and the GNR.

Death was declared at the scene by the medical team from the INEM helicopter, which was also deployed to the incident. The GNR took charge of the occurrence.

According to the commander of the Vinhais firefighters, Carlos Ferreira, the crash resulted in the death of the sole occupant of the vehicle.
