The conviction of Duane "Keffe D" Davis for Tupac Shakur's murder may give new impetus to the investigation into the death of Christopher Wallace, the Notorious B.I.G., shot dead in Los Angeles in March 1997, about six months after Tupac. No one has ever been charged for the crime.

For former prosecutor Neama Rahmani, the outcome of the Tupac case in Las Vegas may lead investigators to revisit a case that is approaching three decades without a solution.

The possibility gains strength because the Los Angeles police itself states that Wallace's murder remains open and unsolved. Lieutenant Elpidio Orozco told the BBC that the case remains in the LAPD's Robbery-Homicide Division and asked that people with information contact the authorities.
