GNR Colonel in the reserve Rogério Copeto, with over 30 years of experience in command, training and strategic management positions, started functions today as security coordinator for the European Capital of Culture Évora_27. The Association Évora 2027, responsible for managing the initiative, announced the appointment through a communication sent to the news agency.
Rogério Copeto will ensure the coordination and specialized monitoring of the security conditions associated with the events integrated in the Évora_27 programming. This appointment aims to meet the operational needs in the domain of security for artists, volunteers, production and audiences, guaranteeing the coordination between the different stakeholders and compliance with applicable legal measures and procedures.
A native of Évora and 56 years old, Copeto holds a degree in Military Sciences – Security, a master's in Law and Security, and a post-graduate degree in Advanced Studies in Law and Security. Until the date of this appointment, he served as an advisor to the operational commander of the GNR.
