Rogério Valença, 55, former vocalist of the band Calcinha Preta, died on Tuesday in Aracaju (SE). The information was confirmed by the family. The artist was being treated for kidney failure and was awaiting a kidney transplant, but did not survive after a heart attack.
The band Calcinha Preta published a message on social media mourning the death of Rogério. The text states that the Calcinha Preta family received the news of the passing with sadness and expressed solidarity with all family members and friends, thanking for Valença's passage through the band's history.
Originally from Garanhuns (PE), the singer was also part of the band Caviar com Rapadura and currently performed with the group Raio da Silibrina. The burial was held in his hometown.
The current vocalist of Calcinha Preta, Marlus Viana, paid tribute on social media to the former band member.
