Two men were arrested this Tuesday in Itaboraí, in the Metropolitan Region of Rio, after invading a condominium in the neighborhood of Outeiro das Pedras. The invasion allegedly aimed to force residents to join a clandestine internet network offered by the suspects.
Detained were Marcelo de Paula de Oliveira, 23, who was also in possession of narcotics, and Marcelo Medeiros, 44, found with the car used in the crime, which occurred on Monday night.
In the condominium's security camera footage, it is possible to see five armed criminals with rifles breaking through the gates and invading the residential space. They ripped wires from the reception area and shot at cameras and wiring.
The criminals arrived at the location in a silver-colored Palio car.
