Postal do Algarve1 September 2026 at 17:40

ANIMAGORIA – Algarve Animation Film Festival inaugurates on September 3rd, in Faro, the collective exhibition "Palindrome", at the gallery of the Portuguese Institute of Sports and Youth (IPDJ). The show, organized by Cineclube de Faro, serves as a preview for the 5th edition of ANIMAGORIA, which will take place between September 24 and 27 with the theme "Express to the Future".

The exhibition brings together works by David Bastos, Dina Guerreiro, Dora Vieira, and Gustavo de Jesus, proposed by curator José Jesus as an artistic reflection on the relationship between different temporalities. The artists explore themes such as the body, symbiosis, the post-human, archaeology, and eroticism, in a concept where past and future reflect each other, just like in a palindrome.

The inauguration is scheduled for 18:00 at Rua da Polícia de Segurança Pública, no. 1, in Faro. The exhibition can be visited until September 27, Monday to Friday, between 09:00 and 18:00.

The show has the financial support of the Faro City Council and the Coordination and Development Commission of the Algarve (CCDR Algarve), as well as partnerships with the Regional Directorate of the Algarve of IPDJ, the Cultural Association 289, and Plutão de Verão.
