Municipal Services acquire electric vehicle for waste collection

The Municipal Services of Viana do Castelo acquired a new electric vehicle for waste collection, in an investment of 207,747 euros that received funding from the Environmental Fund. The vehicle is equipped with a rear-loading lift system, which allows greater load capacity and more efficient waste collection.

This acquisition aims to strengthen the collection of biowaste in the municipality. The measure is part of a broader municipal strategy to reduce waste sent to landfill and the associated environmental impact of collection operations. The goal is to make waste management in the municipality more sustainable and efficient.
