USA grants Venezuela oil for 100 years

The agreement was announced between the president of the United States, Donald Trump, and the interim president of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez. Under the agreement, the United States grants NABEP the right to drill in 17 oil fields containing approximately 65 billion barrels of crude. The concession has a duration of 100 years. The Pentagon takes a 35% stake in NABEP's parent company, which controls the drilling rights.

OE2027: Government forecasts impact of 4,783 million next year from measures already taken

The Portuguese Government, through the "2027 Invariant Policies Framework" delivered to the Assembly of the Republic, forecasts a negative impact of 4,783 million euros on the 2027 public accounts resulting from measures already adopted. On the expenditure side, the highlights are the pension increase (1,993 million), growth in personnel expenditure (1,231 million) and the reinforcement of the Solidarity Supplement for the Elderly (100 million). On the revenue side, the State should benefit from a positive balance of 259 million, reflecting measures such as the update of IRS brackets (gain of 401 million) and the increase in social contributions (471 million) and IRS on salaries and pensions (668 million), although it suffers losses from the reduction of the IRC rate (300 million) and incentives for housing and moderate rents (303 million).
