Bags with `Volta` packaging found in regular trash in Camarate

RTP Notícias1 September 2026 at 15:10

Bags with "Volta" brand packaging were found in the regular trash in the Camarate area. The situation was reported by local residents who noticed these differentiated waste items among the undifferentiated waste.

The bags were found already sealed, next to a regular trash bin, raising questions about proper waste separation. The fact that they were sealed indicates that someone intentionally disposed of them in the wrong bin.

Camarate is a parish belonging to the municipality of Loures, in the Lisbon metropolitan area. This area has frequently been the subject of complaints related to waste management and non-compliance with ecological separation rules.

The article does not specify who disposed of the bags nor what the consequences of this action are. This is a situation that highlights failures in environmental education or in the enforcement of selective waste collection in the region.
