Metro Mondego is carrying out an exhaustive survey of canal vulnerabilities, after an incident that forced the interruption of the service. The company resumed today the link to Serpins, after it was necessary to stop operations due to a slope collapse. The survey aims to identify and evaluate all potential risk zones along the canal to guarantee the safety of circulation. This situation occurred after a period in which the service was suspended precisely for safety reasons.

PSP operation on the Sintra line ends with three arrests

The PSP arrested three people, aged between 17 and 56, during an inspection operation at the Queluz-Belas and Santa Cruz-Damaia stations, on the Sintra Line. A 17-year-old youth was intercepted with a 20-centimeter kitchen knife and a military-style balaclava, a 19-year-old man was detained for possessing a knife with a 12.5 centimeter blade, and a 56-year-old woman was caught with a 9 mm caliber ammunition in her wallet. The three defendants were notified to appear before the Judicial Authority at the Courts of Amadora and Sintra, with the weapons and seized objects sent to the PSP's Weapons and Explosives Unit.

Law Student Arrested After Posing as Judge During Police Stop in ABC Paulista

A 29-year-old law student, Selmo dos Santos Pereira, was arrested in São Bernardo do Campo, in ABC Paulista, after posing as a judge during a police stop. He was driving at a speed incompatible with the road and presented a document with signs of tampering, claiming to be a judge at the Third Criminal Court of Santo André and a professor at the local Law School. During the stop, a passing driver recognized him and told police he was actually a law student, leading to his arrest.
