Vitelo dies after fire in warehouse

A fire broke out in a warehouse in the locality of Torgueda, in the municipality of Montalegre, with the alert being raised at 1:49 PM. The commander of the Montalegre Firefighters, Luís Silva, explained that the material burning inside the warehouse was manure.

According to the same source, two calves were inside the warehouse at the time of the fire. One of the two animals ended up dying during the fire, while the other managed to survive.

Fourteen firefighters are deployed at the scene battling the flames, supported by six vehicles. Among the resources involved are the Montalegre firefighters.

The incident was reported by the newspaper A Voz de Trás-os-Montes, which reported the occurrence without providing further details about the causes of the fire.

PSP operation on the Sintra line ends with three arrests

The PSP arrested three people, aged between 17 and 56, during an inspection operation at the Queluz-Belas and Santa Cruz-Damaia stations, on the Sintra Line. A 17-year-old youth was intercepted with a 20-centimeter kitchen knife and a military-style balaclava, a 19-year-old man was detained for possessing a knife with a 12.5 centimeter blade, and a 56-year-old woman was caught with a 9 mm caliber ammunition in her wallet. The three defendants were notified to appear before the Judicial Authority at the Courts of Amadora and Sintra, with the weapons and seized objects sent to the PSP's Weapons and Explosives Unit.
