Federal Government authorizes hydrogen research industry to install itself in the Parnaíba EPZ

The Federal Government authorized a hydrogen research industry to install itself in the Export Processing Zone (EPZ) of Parnaíba, on the coast of Piauí. The company obtained the approval to develop operation tests in the Piaui coastal region.

The hydrogen industry will work in partnership with a company that produces iron ore. The two companies will jointly develop the operation tests in the EPZ.

The authorization represents an advance for the state of Piauí in the area of renewable energies and technological research. The EPZ of Parnaíba, which already has infrastructure to receive industrial companies focused on export, now also hosts hydrogen research activities.
