Paula Pinto Pereira, a Mathematics teacher, will be tried for having taught for more than three decades without possessing the required qualification courses for the profession. The woman used false qualification certificates to forge her professional qualifications throughout this period.
The Ministry of Education is the entity that filed the complaint against the teacher, now demanding the return of more than 355 thousand euros in salaries that she received improperly over the years she worked without the proper training and certification.
The trial comes as a result of an investigation that revealed that Paula Pinto Pereira forged the necessary documents to practice teaching functions, managing to stay in the education system for more than 30 years without ever having completed the academic training required for the teaching profession.
