Public sector unions call general strike for October 2nd

Public sector unions called a general strike for October 2nd. The stoppage covers approximately 350,000 public sector workers.

The strike action comes with the objective of leaving "an urgent alert to the Government" regarding public sector workers' demands. The unions intend to pressure the executive to move forward with measures that address the employees' demands.

This strike represents one of the biggest protest movements in the public sector in recent times, affecting multiple areas of public administration. The unions have been defending that workers need concrete responses from the Executive.
