The International Monetary Fund (IMF) projected that Brazil will again hold the position of the world's tenth largest economy by the end of this year, surpassing Canada. This forecast represents the country's return to the global top 10, a position from which it fell last year, according to data from the multilateral organization.
Despite the expected recovery, the Brazilian economy recorded a slowdown in the second quarter. Even so, the IMF maintains the expectation that the country will regain its position among the ten largest global economies by the end of the year.
