The Municipal Library of Funchal dedicates the month of September to poetry and traditional Madeiran music, through a cultural program dedicated to these themes. The initiative aims to promote and value the cultural heritage of the Autonomous Region of Madeira.
The program includes a new season of the "Well, Poetry..." cycle, which returns with activities aimed at disseminating the poetic art. This cycle aims to bring the public closer to Madeiran literary and cultural production.
At the same time, a Reading Club session dedicated to the collections of Xarabanda is planned. This cultural association is recognized for its work in collecting and preserving the traditional music and poetry of Madeira, constituting an important archive of the region's intangible heritage.
