Apple has a new CEO. John Ternus takes over the leadership of the company starting in September, replacing Tim Cook, whose last day in the role was August 31.

John Ternus is not a new face at the company. The new CEO has been working at Apple for 25 years, having held various leadership positions at the company.

Before assuming the CEO role, Ternus held the position of Vice President of Hardware Engineering at Apple, demonstrating a long trajectory in the company's technical and management areas.

With this leadership change, Apple closes an important chapter in its history, started with Tim Cook, and begins a new era under the command of a leader with extensive internal experience at the company.
