The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that one of the three Portuguese nationals missing following the devastating flood in Nepal and Tibet was located and rescued by Nepalese authorities. One national citizen was rescued alive, according to the information provided by the ministry.
However, two Portuguese women remain missing. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs continues to monitor the situation and coordinate efforts with local authorities to try to locate the two remaining citizens.
The devastating flood affected both Nepal and Tibet, causing a high number of missing persons and fatalities. This situation led to the activation of consular assistance mechanisms by the Portuguese authorities to support the families of the affected citizens.
