Luís Neves, Minister of Internal Administration, reacted this Monday to the criticisms that have been arising around his person, guaranteeing that he would again give explanations about the most recent cases in which he is involved. In his statements, the minister stated that, in the absence of evidence, what exists is "defamation".

The official was emphatic in stating that "nothing" will remove him from the position he holds. Luís Neves has been at the center of several controversies that have generated public debate and political pressure.

The guarantee that he would again provide explanations comes at a moment of some political tension, with the opposition and sectors of the media demanding greater transparency from the minister about the cases in question.

Luís Neves thus remains firm in the defense of his position, rejecting accusations without concrete evidence and classifying them as defamatory, while continuing to exercise his functions at the head of the Ministry of Internal Administration.

Labor Court determines blocking of R$ 61 thousand in private pension plans of Renan Santos

The Labor Court of Betim, in Minas Gerais, determined the blocking of more than R$ 61.8 thousand in private pension plans of Renan Santos, candidate for President of the Republic for the Missão party, in addition to 17 other people and defendant companies in a labor lawsuit. The action was filed by a painter who claims to have been fired in 2014 from a company supposedly linked to the candidate, without correctly receiving severance pay. The professional also claims salary differences, overtime hours, unhealthy work premium, FGTS deposits and other labor benefits. Judge Ordenisio Cesar dos Santos ordered an insurance company to report, within ten days, whether the defendants have private pension plans, so that the values can be blocked up to the determined limit.
