The National Federation of Teachers (Fenprof) reported that approximately 2,650 schedules remain unfilled in school offerings, corresponding to more than 50,000 teaching hours. This situation was revealed by the federation a few days before the start of the school year. Fenprof thus warned about the difficulties in hiring teachers that exist in the Portuguese education system. The union expressed concern about the impact that this lack of teachers could have on the start of the school year.
