Spanish National Police officers, in collaboration with Germany's Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA), arrested in the city of Malaga the fugitive considered the most wanted drug trafficker by German authorities. The arrest occurred after five years of the individual being on the run.
The detainee had a European Arrest and Surrender Order (EASO) issued by German authorities against him, being sought for the crimes of drug trafficking and organized crime. Additionally, there was also a judicial request pending against him from Spanish authorities.
The joint operation between Spanish and German police allowed for the locating and capture of the fugitive in the province of Malaga, putting an end to more than five years during which he managed to evade justice.
