The company Blissfulbreeze, responsible for Cristina Ferreira's online store (shop.dailycristina.com), was declared insolvent by the Commercial Court of Vila Nova de Gaia on August 11. The company handled the e-commerce of clothing and footwear items from the Cristina, Love Cristina, and Daily Cristina brands, and is expected to proceed with liquidation, which may jeopardize the current business structure that ensures these sales.
Despite the insolvency proceedings, the store remained available on September 1, with various items on promotion and discounts reaching up to 80%. The company's situation and product availability are separate issues, so customers were still able to access the platform and make purchases.
The insolvency of Blissfulbreeze does not correspond to the insolvency of Cristina Ferreira as an individual. The legal proceedings are related only to the company responsible for the e-commerce operation. The continuity of the brands may be ensured through a new business structure or a different partner, should that decision be made.
Blissfulbreeze also appears among the companies with debts to Pontual, a manufacturer that ceased operations on July 31, leaving approximately 60 people unemployed. The insolvency proceedings will make it possible to identify creditors, determine financial responsibilities, and define the fate of assets and contracts associated with the activity.
