El Periódico Mediterráneo - General1 September 2026 at 12:58

The Provincial Council of Castellón demanded from the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, Renfe, and Adif an improvement in rail services to the northern municipalities of the province. This demand arises in response to the deficiencies affecting the railway connectivity of this area.

Additionally, the provincial institution called for the implementation of an early morning service connecting the capital of Plana with Barcelona. This direct link in the early hours is considered essential for facilitating professional and commercial travel between both cities.

The request was presented unanimously by the Provincial Council, demonstrating political consensus in defending the interests of citizens in the north of the province of Castellón. This joint front aims to pressure the responsible entities to invest in improving railway infrastructure and schedules.

The Labor Court of Betim, in Minas Gerais, determined the blocking of more than R$ 61.8 thousand in private pension plans of Renan Santos, candidate for President of the Republic for the Missão party, in addition to 17 other people and defendant companies in a labor lawsuit. The action was filed by a painter who claims to have been fired in 2014 from a company supposedly linked to the candidate, without correctly receiving severance pay. The professional also claims salary differences, overtime hours, unhealthy work premium, FGTS deposits and other labor benefits. Judge Ordenisio Cesar dos Santos ordered an insurance company to report, within ten days, whether the defendants have private pension plans, so that the values can be blocked up to the determined limit.
